Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching. By accessing and using my website and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Coaching Commitment

By booking a coaching series or session with Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching, you commit to participating fully in the coaching process as outlined in your service agreement. This includes the financial commitment associated with the service you have booked.

2. Scope of Services

My coaching services are designed to support you in achieving your personal and professional goals. Coaching is not a substitute for professional therapy or medical treatment. I am not a licensed therapist and do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you have concerns about your mental or physical health, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

3. Coaching Process and Client Responsibility

Coaching can sometimes bring up challenging emotions such as frustration, stress, or discomfort. You acknowledge that participating in coaching sessions is at your own risk. You agree not to hold Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching liable for any emotional, mental, or physical distress that may arise during or as a result of coaching.

4. Confidentiality

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the coaching relationship. All personal information you share during coaching sessions will be kept confidential, except where disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to yourself or others, legal subpoenas).

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Your 1:1 life coaching session time is reserved specifically for you, with preparation done in advance. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of 1:1 coaching sessions. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in forfeiture of the session fee. 6. Payment Terms and Default

Payments for coaching services, digital products, group programs, and subscriptions are due in full prior to commencement unless a payment plan has been agreed upon. For clients on payment plans, installments are billed monthly in advance and must be received by the due date.


If a payment is not received within 7 days of the due date, services may be suspended or terminated until payment is made. No refunds, credits, or rollovers will be provided for missed payments or partial use of services.


Clients agree to promptly notify Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching of any payment disputes prior to initiating chargebacks. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in immediate suspension or termination of services.


Clients are responsible for any applicable taxes, currency conversion fees, or bank charges related to their payments.

7. Refunds and Transfers

  • Coaching Series: If, after your first full session, you decide not to continue, you may request a refund for any remaining unused sessions in the current month. No refunds are offered after the second session has started.

  • Single Sessions: Refunds are not available for single coaching sessions or services already provided.

  • Transfers: Coaching sessions are transferable to another person with prior approval from Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching. The original client remains financially responsible until payment is made.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and coaching materials, is the intellectual property of Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any materials for commercial purposes without written permission. Materials provided during coaching are for your personal use only and may not be shared or used outside the coaching context.

9. Digital Products

If you purchase digital products (e.g., courses, workbooks), these are for your personal use only. Unauthorized sharing, copying, or distribution of digital products is prohibited. All digital product sales are final, and no refunds are offered.

10. Limitation of Liability

Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching provides services in good faith and with reasonable care but does not guarantee specific results. Liability for any direct or indirect damages arising from your use of coaching services or digital products is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes reliance on third-party platforms and tools used in delivering services.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

12. Changes to Terms

Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of material changes by email or website notice.

13. Group Coaching

Group coaching programs require full payment upfront before participation. Fees are non-refundable once the program has commenced. Participation requires adherence to all community and coaching guidelines.

14. Subscription Services

Subscriptions through platforms like Substack are managed directly by the subscriber via the platform. Cancellations must be done through the subscription platform. All subscription payments are non-refundable, including for partially used periods. Access to subscription content will cease upon cancellation or expiry.

15. No Guarantees

While all services aim to support your development, Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching does not guarantee specific results.

16. Technical Issues

Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching is not liable for any technical issues arising from third-party services, internet disruptions, or other factors beyond our control.

17. Client Conduct

Clients agree to engage respectfully and professionally in all coaching sessions, group programs, and community spaces. All clients and community members are expected to adhere to the Community Guidelines and Client Guidelines set forth by Jacqueline Smith Life Coaching. Any behaviour that is disruptive, disrespectful, or violates these guidelines may result in removal from services or community participation without refund.

NSW, Australia Legal Addendum

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales in respect of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees or rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other legislation, which cannot be excluded by law.

  • Coaching services, group coaching, and digital products are generally not subject to cooling-off periods, except where required by law.

  • You agree that electronic communications, transactions, and signatures related to your purchase and use of services are valid and binding under the Electronic Transactions Act 2000 (NSW).
